Self Portrait
👁️👃👁️
To practice drawing faces, I chose myself as the model—I didn’t want to risk offending someone else with a less-than-flattering attempt. It’s fun to see the drawing take shape in seconds! It helps me track my progress, see where I can improve, and share the journey.
To practice drawing faces, I chose myself as the model—I didn’t want to risk offending someone else with a less-than-flattering attempt. Lately, I’ve been setting up a tripod and using my phone’s timelapse feature to capture the process. It’s fun to see the drawing take shape in seconds! It helps me track my progress, see where I can improve, and share the journey.
For this self-portrait, I worked on a 16x20” piece using graphite pencils, focusing on capturing subtle details and expressions.
